We made it to our first meet at All American in Lindon, Utah.
The mothers were a little worried at the name of the meet:
"Crash and Burn"!!!

It was a pretty small meet and held inside their gym. The seating is not good and I had memories of her Level 5 and 6 times here.
This was the last meet Shireen had with her first coach Katia!

This picture shows Shireen before beam.
I could not even see her floor routine from where I was sitting.
My hope for her this meet was to not have a fall.
She didn't have great routines and looked ok on her first 3 events.
But she did fall on her backhandspring-layout on beam!

Shireen took 4th on bars with a 9.050 which was her best event.
A high point was getting a 9.0 on vault which ended out being her next best!
Shireen felt her floor was pretty good but she only got an 8.850. I basically didn't see it.
I was actually happy with her 8.7 score on beam with a fall and several wobbles!

The team took first place which is always a nice bonus.

This is our third time at Lady Luck in Las Vegas.
It is a really big meet with great teams competing from all over the country.
It takes place at the Southpoint Hotel which is a great hotel and casino that has lots to do for kids and adults!

I was just happy that Shireen wasn't sick - three of the girls had the stomach flu two days before this meet!
She was really happy and confident the whole meet!

She started on bars and did another OK routine - not her best for sure -
but she got a 9.1 which gives me good hope that she can get a great score if she can hit it!!
Her beam routine looked pretty good but again she had a fall on that same layout!!

We were so excited and surprised that she took 1st place on Bars!
It shows how relative it can be when in a little meet in Utah she took 4th with almost the same score
and this big meet she gets a gold!!
